Cadmium resistant bacteria mediated cadmium removal: a systematic review on resistance, mechanism and bioremediation approaches

چکیده
Abstract Cadmium-resistant bacteria that are used to remove cadmium (Cd) becoming increasingly of the most important and hygienic method. Resistant mechanisms involved in different ways, some them which can be removal techniques based on their molecular minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC). This review summarises recent improvements understanding by either intrinsically resistant or acquire resistance as a way for removal.

Cadmium Level Status in Iranian Breast Milk: A Systematic Review
Introduction: Due to the lack of a systematic review on cadmium status in breast milk of Iranian mothers, this study was designed to evaluate the published articles on factors affecting the exposure and the levels of cadmium in breast milk. Methods: In this study, English and Farsi electronic databases, including PubMed, Scopus, Google Scholar, Web of Science, Magiran, Iran Medex and SID were ...
متن کاملEnrichment of cadmium-mediated antibiotic-resistant bacteria in a Douglas-fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii) litter microcosm.
A set of Douglas-fir needle litter microcosms was amended with cadmium, acid, a combination of both, or neither. After 2 weeks of incubation, bacterial colony counts were made of litter homogenates inoculated onto agar media containing an antibiotic (streptomycin, chloromycetin, ampicillin, or gentamicin), cadmium, both, or neither. In all microcosms bacterial abundance was similar but the qual...
متن کاملArsenic, Cadmium, Lead, and Mercury in Sweat: A Systematic Review
Arsenic, cadmium, lead, and mercury exposures are ubiquitous. These toxic elements have no physiological benefits, engendering interest in minimizing body burden. The physiological process of sweating has long been regarded as "cleansing" and of low risk. Reports of toxicant levels in sweat were sought in Medline, Embase, Toxline, Biosis, and AMED as well as reference lists and grey literature,...
متن کاملCd-Resistant Strains of B. cereus S5 with Endurance Capacity and Their Capacities for Cadmium Removal from Cadmium-Polluted Water
The goal of this study was to identify Cd-resistant bacterial strains with endurance capacity and to evaluate their ability to remove cadmium ions from cadmium-polluted water. The Bacillus cereusS5 strain identified in this study had the closest genetic relationship with B. cereus sp. Cp1 and performed well in the removal of Cd2+ions from solution. The results showed that both the live and dead...
متن کاملPseudomonas aeruginosa KUCD1, a possible candidate for cadmium bioremediation
A cadmium (8 mM) resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa strain KUCd1 exhibiting high Cd accumulation under in vitro aerobic condition has been reported. The isolate showed a significant ability to remove more than 75% and 89% of the soluble cadmium during the active growth phase from the growth medium and from Cd-amended industrial wastewater under growth supportive condition. Transmission electron m...
